We are seeking an experienced Employee Benefits Consultant to join our team as a Strategic Account Manager.

Job Overview

As a key member of our business, you will be responsible for speaking with customers and providing advice on new products, renewals, and ensuring we understand their needs, and provide products and services that exceed their expectations and retain their loyalty.

You will work closely with our customers to develop a deep understanding of their business and identify opportunities to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of SME and mid-corporate clients to deliver renewal income in line with the company's strategic objectives.
  • Generate new business income through client referrals, introducer relationships, and other business development initiatives.
  • Deliver additional revenue growth through client referrals to other health sales teams.
  • Operate in accordance with the company's sales quality standards at all times and ensure that high-quality outcomes are delivered for customers.
  • Work closely with your line manager and team to develop the customer proposition for SME customers.
  • Deliver high-quality customer outcomes as measured by the company's business standards monitoring.
  • Effectively manage relationships with providers to deliver high-quality outcomes for clients and the business alike.
  • Negotiate with insurers to obtain good value outcomes for customers in line with their requirements.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience within the financial services market, with private medical insurance experience also essential.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with insurers/providers, clients, and account managers.
  • A minimum of Cert CII or willingness to study towards qualification.
  • A proven ability to negotiate successfully on behalf of customers to deliver new business and renewal targets.
  • Strong numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • A strong, personable telephone manner.
  • A professional, customer-focused approach internally and externally when dealing with colleagues and distribution partners.
  • The ability to work well as part of a team as well as being able to work for periods using own initiative.
