As a seasoned critical care specialist, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to the continuous improvement of our services at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Sister/Charge nurse position within the Critical Care department. Our team prides itself on providing holistic care, reflected in our excellent CQC reports, ICNARC data, performance metrics, and feedback from patients, relatives, and visitors.

The ideal candidate will have extensive clinical leadership/team management experience, expert skills in caring for both Level 2 and Level 3 patients, and a Degree or equivalent level of education and experience. They will be responsible for leading and developing our team, ensuring high standards of care, and promoting a positive work environment.

About the Role:
  • Lead and develop our Critical Care team, ensuring high standards of patient care and safety.
  • Provide expert care for Level 2 and Level 3 patients, utilizing your clinical assessment skills and influencing skills.
  • Contribute to quality improvement projects, demonstrating involvement in initiatives that enhance patient outcomes.
  • Role model trust values, upholding our commitment to excellence and professionalism.

With an estimated salary of £35-£45 per hour, you will be part of a large hospital trust with five hospitals and community clinics serving a local population of around 800,000 people.
