Nursing Care Professional

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nursing Care Professional to join our team at Discovery Care Group.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a registered nurse to provide high-quality care to residents in our nursing home. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering patient-centered care that enhances the wellbeing of residents.
Responsibilities- Clinical Care:
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with residents, their families, and the healthcare team.
- Monitor and evaluate the health and wellbeing of residents, escalating issues to medical professionals as necessary.
- Ensure that care provided is in line with current best practices and complies with national standards and guidelines.
- Medication Administration:
- Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and controlled substances accurately and in line with NMC standards and the nursing home's policies.
- Maintain accurate medication administration records (MAR) and monitor residents for adverse effects or reactions to medications.
- Care Planning:
- Develop, implement, and review care plans in collaboration with residents, their families, and the multidisciplinary team.
- Conduct regular reviews and assessments of residents' care plans, ensuring they are updated in response to changing needs.
- Leadership and Supervision:
- Provide leadership and support to care staff, including Healthcare Assistants and other nursing team members, ensuring that care is delivered effectively and professionally.
- Ensure that all care staff adhere to best practices, policies, and regulations.
- Compliance and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive records in accordance with NMC guidelines and the nursing home's policies.
- Participate in audits, inspections, and assessments to ensure compliance with CQC standards and other regulatory requirements.
- Essential:
- Registered Nurse (Adult) with a valid NMC Pin.
- Proven experience in a clinical or nursing home setting.
- Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and the NMC Code of Practice.
- Ability to manage medication administration in a safe and timely manner.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, supervise, and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Desirable:
- Experience in elderly or dementia care.
- Additional clinical qualifications or specialist training.
We offer a competitive salary of £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience, and a range of benefits, including professional development opportunities and a supportive work environment.
