Personal Care Specialist for Neurodiverse Individuals

As a Personal Care Specialist with the North East Autism Society, you will play a vital role in supporting autistic and/or neurodivergent young people and adults to live independently in their own homes. Our bespoke Supported Living service provides round-the-clock care, empowering individuals to make their own choices and live life to the fullest.
You will work collaboratively as part of a team to support our clients with personal and household tasks, meal preparation, social activities, and access to healthcare services. With a focus on building trusting relationships, you will help our clients develop the skills and confidence they need to thrive in their communities.
Key Responsibilities:- Support clients with daily living tasks, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household management
- Develop and implement personalized care plans in collaboration with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Foster positive relationships with clients, promoting independence, choice, and autonomy
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure seamless support and care delivery
- A Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification
- Experience working with neurodiverse individuals or in a similar support role (not essential)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A strong commitment to providing person-centered care
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team

Salary: £19,661.15 rising to £20,241.18 with increments, plus an additional £4,320 per year for mandatory sleep-ins.
