SEND Teaching Assistant Role

A well-established Secondary School in Bury St Edmunds is seeking a dynamic and experienced Teaching Assistant to join their SEND Unit. The successful candidate will have a passion for education and ideally be looking to complete their teaching qualifications. Experience of working alongside students with a variety of SEND needs is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide support to students with additional needs, 1:1 tuition or to small groups of students with varying abilities.
• Encourage and support individual pupils to reach their full potential while demonstrating a creative and determined attitude that will help motivate students.
• Assist in organising the teaching and learning resources available to students and staff.

Requirements:
• Experience of working as a teaching assistant (desired)
• Interest in the education sector
• SEND experience (desired)
• Ability to engage with and inspire young learners.
