Dudley Older Adults Team Manager

The Team Manager will provide operational management, clinical leadership, and supervision to designated teams of staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to patients. This role requires effective use of resources, ensuring that all aspects of care are delivered in a respectful and sensitive manner.
Main DutiesProvide clinical leadership, supervision, and support to team members, utilizing complex clinical skills and critical thinking to inform practice and decision-making. Enable staff to use evidence-based strategies and person-centered interventions in the care and treatment of individuals with mental health problems.
Lead by example, motivating and empowering others to promote positive attitudes, mutual understanding, and collaboration between services involved in the care process. Ensure that team staff contribute to performance targets, service developments, and quality improvement programs.
Manage pay and non-pay budgets for specific areas of responsibility, ensuring efficient use of resources. Conduct Performance Development Conversations (PDCs) within agreed timescales, as per Trust Policy and procedure.
Provide appropriate support, supervision, and development to team members, in line with related Trust Policies. Manage disciplinary, performance, and attendance issues in accordance with Trust policies and procedures.
Work with the Operational Manager and others to recruit and retain staff within the team as required. Collaborate with Operational Managers, Matron, Clinical Directors, and Professional Leads to develop and deliver safe and effective Community Mental Health Services.
