Complex Care Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Complex Care Support Worker to join our team in Stanmore. The successful candidate will provide 2:1 support to a young lady with complex care and medical needs, including suctioning and manual handling. This is a part-time role, available up to 30 hours per week, with a flexible schedule including days, nights, and weekends. You will work closely with the client's family, therapy team, and healthcare professionals to ensure the client's needs are met and they have the opportunity to learn and thrive.
About the Client:
Our client is a 17-year-old young lady with Cerebral Palsy, scoliosis, Dystonia, and a Gastrostomy. She is a wheelchair user and communicates using switches. The client requires 2:1 support, 24/7, to meet her health, care, and medical needs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 2:1 support to the client, including assistance with daily living activities, health, and medical needs.
* Work closely with the client's family, therapy team, and healthcare professionals to ensure the client's needs are met.
* Develop and maintain a positive relationship with the client, promoting independence and exploring new hobbies and interests.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in complex medical care, including suctioning and manual handling.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to work flexibly, including days, nights, and weekends.
* Confident driver with a valid WAV license.
* Non-smoker.
