About the Role

The New Zealand Government is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Adult and Child Psychiatrist to join our team at Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Te Matau a Māui Hawke's Bay.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive psychiatric services to children, adolescents, and their families in a holistic and child-centered manner.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care and achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans that address the unique needs of each patient.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that promote best practices in child and adolescent mental health.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure the highest standards of care are maintained.

Requirements:

  • Eligibility for Vocational Registration as a Child Psychiatrist with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
  • Strong clinical skills and experience in working with children and families.
  • Ability to provide clinical leadership and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to continuous quality improvement and professional development.
