Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Well-being Support Professional to join our team. As a Well-being Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting students with SEN and SEMH needs to navigate their educational journey and promote their mental and emotional well-being.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing individualised support and encouragement to students with SEN and SEMH needs.
  • Developing and implementing tailored support strategies to help students overcome barriers to learning.
  • Collaborating with teachers and special educational staff to create and implement individualised support plans.
  • Encouraging positive behaviour, self-confidence, and independence among students.
  • Supporting students to manage their mental health needs and providing a safe, supportive space when required.

Key Skills and Qualities:

  • A genuine passion for supporting students with SEN and SEMH needs.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with students.
  • Patience, empathy, and a non-judgmental approach to supporting young people.
  • Ability to implement tailored support strategies and work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience in supporting students with SEN/SEMH or in a similar well-being or educational role is highly desirable.
  • A commitment to creating an inclusive, supportive learning environment for all students.
