Fleet Business Development Specialist

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven individual to join our fast-growing team in the commercial vehicle sector. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to business growth and drive sales for one of the leading van brokers in the UK.
Key Responsibilities:- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the fleet van customer base.
- Generate leads through cold calling, networking, attending industry events, and conducting market research.
- Develop and implement tailored sales strategies to meet specific client needs and increase sales.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to design and execute campaigns that attract new business.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients to drive repeat business.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction throughout the customer journey.
- Hold regular client meetings to assess fleet performance and discuss future requirements.
- Stay informed on the latest van models, fleet management solutions, and industry developments.
- Provide consultative selling by advising clients on the most suitable fleet solutions for their operational needs.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure clients receive excellent after-sales support and service.
- Prepare and present detailed proposals and quotations to prospective clients.
- Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and service agreements to meet both client and company objectives.
- Manage the entire sales cycle, from lead generation to closing deals.
- Conduct market analysis to understand industry trends, the competitive landscape, and growth opportunities.
- Monitor customer feedback and sales data to refine business development strategies and stay ahead of the competition.
- Prepare and submit regular sales reports, forecasts, and progress updates for management review.
- Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets and KPIs.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in sales, business development, or account management, ideally within the automotive or fleet van sector.
- A solid understanding of fleet management, leasing, and commercial vehicle requirements.
- Demonstrated track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience managing large fleet accounts.
- Knowledge of fleet management technology and telematics.
- A valid driver's license.
