Job Summary

The London North West Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Vascular Scientist to join our team. As a Clinical Vascular Scientist, you will be responsible for providing expert clinical advice and support to patients and healthcare professionals.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing clinical advice and support to patients and healthcare professionals on vascular-related matters.
  • Conducting assessments and investigations to diagnose and manage vascular conditions.
  • Developing and implementing treatment plans to improve patient outcomes.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Providing education and training to healthcare professionals on vascular-related topics.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant clinical experience.
  • 2 years of experience at Band 6 level in respiratory, covering colorectal surgery, chronic disease management, and ITU.
  • Supervision of junior physiotherapy staff.
  • Experience of teaching students and peers.
  • Experience of audit/research process.

Desirable Criteria

The following criteria would be advantageous:

  • Previous prehabilitation experience.
  • Previous experience at Band 7 level.
  • Previous management of patients following colorectal surgery.

Skills

The successful candidate will need to possess:

  • Competent IT skills.
  • Ability to organise, prioritise, and delegate.
  • Ability to appraise and develop team members through the IPR process.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
