About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Lead Occupational Therapist to join our team at St Mary's Hospital. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for managing a complex caseload and providing high-quality occupational therapy services to our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate the implementation of individual treatment plans for occupational therapy services.
- Participate fully with the multidisciplinary team and encourage service users to be fully engaged in their care pathway.
- Ensure the team maintains accurate and timely records detailing each patient's rehabilitation/progress.
- Ensure the effective and efficient management of more junior staff.
- Support clinical team working, including direct interventions and staff training programs.
- Receive and respond promptly to referrals, undertaking patient assessments to identify and prioritize patient needs.
Requirements:
- Qualified and registered as an Occupational Therapist.
- At least 3 years post-qualifying experience.
- Experience in assessing people with a variety of psychometrics and risk assessment tools.
- Ability to work therapeutically, engaging people in developing insight and coping skills to manage complex needs.
- Experience in supervising and managing junior members of the team.
