Healthcare Scientist Assistant

About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Pathology Blood Sciences team as an Assistant Healthcare Scientist. The successful candidate will work within the Sample Reception / Office areas of Pathology and occasionally assist Biomedical Scientists in pre-analytical duties such as the centrifugation of samples.
Main Responsibilities
- Receiving and checking of samples
- Data entry
- Reagent preparation
- General maintenance and stock control
- Interacting with patients and other service users, dealing with phone queries
Requirements
- Good keyboard skills with a high level of accuracy
- Ability to work as a good team player with a flexible approach
- Highly motivated and enthusiastic individual educated to at least GCSE level or equivalent
- Keen eye for detail
- Exceptional customer service skills
