Job Title: Head of Digital Media Rights

We are seeking an experienced and innovative professional to lead our digital media rights strategy and drive revenue growth for the Football Association.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive digital media rights strategy, identifying new opportunities, and building relationships with key stakeholders. They will also oversee the production strategy, content growth, and innovation agenda to unlock incremental media rights focused revenue opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a digital media rights strategy to drive revenue growth and maximize reach.
  • Identify new opportunities within the fast-evolving media landscape, including subscription-based business and social media revenue models.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including broadcasters, clubs, and other football rights holders.
  • Oversee the production strategy and delivery, including content growth and innovation agenda.
  • Work with the Head of Digital Product to strengthen the archive, audio, photography, and sports data businesses.
  • Secure maximum revenue from ancillary rights, such as archive and audio.
  • Build strong club relationships to maximize delivery of broadcast picks.
Requirements:
  • Significant extensive experience in broadcasting rights industry, with global network across broadcasters, rights holders, and agencies.
  • Proven track record of end-to-end media rights distribution, including contractual delivery, scheduling, revenue generation, P&L responsibility, and delivering against revenue targets.
  • Strong understanding of the sports broadcast landscape to maximize the Football Association's rights.
  • Excellent negotiation skills, strategic, and detail-oriented to help deliver against the Football Association's commercial interests.
  • Ability to express and present ideas or facts concisely and precisely through PPT, Word, and Excel.
  • Comfort with analytics, Excel modeling, and forecasting.
  • Leader and team builder who nurtures talent.
