About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Teacher of the Deaf or an outstanding teacher who is willing to undertake the mandatory training course to work across a variety of settings, including the outreach team and the Rowan Hearing Support Centre.
Your key responsibilities will include developing and delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences for deaf children and young people, working closely with families and other professionals to support their development, and participating in the development of cultural opportunities, including community projects tailored to their sensory needs.
The successful candidate will have experience of teaching deaf children and young people or transferable skills and experience, Qualified Teacher Status, and confidence in exploring and adopting new technology and software. If they do not hold the mandatory qualification, they must have completed a statutory induction period and be willing to undertake the part-time, two-year Teacher of the Deaf training.
