This role will involve working across various settings, including outreach teams and specialist centres, providing high-quality support to deaf pupils in Wandsworth. As a Deaf Education Specialist Teacher, you will play a crucial role in developing creative ways to engage with children and families, ensuring they receive the best possible education.

Key Responsibilities

  • To provide specialist teaching and learning environments for deaf children and young people.
  • To develop and implement effective strategies to remove barriers to learning and improve outcomes for deaf pupils.
  • To work closely with healthcare professionals and other stakeholders to ensure seamless support for deaf children and young people.

Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience of teaching deaf children and young people or transferable skills and experience.
  • Confidence in exploring and adopting new technology and software.

Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
