Deaf Education Specialist

This is a rare opportunity to join our team of specialist teachers as a qualified or experienced Teacher of the Deaf. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate professional to work with deaf children and young people, providing high-quality support and removing barriers to their learning and development.
The successful candidate will have experience of teaching deaf children and young people, and be confident in exploring and adopting new technology and software. A flexible approach to deployment based on the needs of the service is essential, as well as a resilient and positive attitude when dealing with safeguarding issues.
As a key member of our team, you will work closely with families, including home visits and hospital appointments, applying a holistic approach with a focus on family-centred activities and partnership working. You will also contribute to developing cultural opportunities, such as community projects tailored to the sensory needs of children and young people.
