We are looking for a dedicated Housing and Welfare Debt Resolution Officer to join our team in Walsall Council. In this role, you will work closely with residents, providing tailored support to help them overcome financial challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide personalized advice and guidance to customers on managing their debt.
  • Explain available options and provide fair views on all appropriate solutions that could assist customers now or in the future.

The successful candidate will be expected to complete Wiser Adviser training and obtain the CMAP qualification through the IMA. They will also maintain an updated knowledge of relevant services, active employer engagement strategy, and utilize tools for ongoing professional development.
