**About the Role:**

We are seeking an experienced Housing and Welfare Specialist to join our team at Walsall Council. As a Senior Housing Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting front-line staff, monitoring service performance, and driving continuous improvement within our organisation.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Empower Front-Line Staff: Provide expert guidance and support to staff, helping them assist residents effectively and efficiently.
  • Monitor and Improve Services: Use data and flow analysis to understand customer demand, identify system inefficiencies, and implement improvements.
  • Support Training and Development: Identify training needs, design and deliver training programs, and support staff development.

**Requirements:**

  • Experienced: You have a deep understanding of relevant legislation, regulations, and best practices, particularly Parts 6 and 7 of the Housing Act 1996.
  • Passionate: You are dedicated to helping customers and ensuring they receive the support they need, especially those facing homelessness.
  • Analytical: You can use data to drive decision-making and improve service delivery.
  • Collaborative: You excel at working with others, both within your team and across the organisation.

**What We Offer:**
