We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to lead our engineering cost centre in our London office. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating and managing structural designs using the latest software, liaising with clients and stakeholders, and ensuring projects are appropriately resourced and delivered on time.

Responsibilities
  • Lead an engineering cost centre for our London office, overseeing project budgets and staff resources.
  • Develop and implement structural designs using the latest software, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Liaise with clients and stakeholders to discuss design and technical solutions, providing expert advice and guidance.
  • Monitor and oversee project progress, delegating work to team members and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Provide support and guidance to junior staff, fostering their development and progression.
  • Prepare calculations, drawings, details, specifications, and reports for a wide range of structures and materials.
  • Implement company policies and ensure adherence across your team.
Requirements
  • Chartered Engineer status (CEng) would be advantageous.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent (Masters degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in structural engineering.
  • Proven track record of cost estimation and project management.
  • Prior experience working with historic buildings is highly desirable.
