We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join our team at the Structural Engineering Alliance Group. As a key member of our London office, you will be responsible for leading engineering cost centers, creating and managing structural designs, and collaborating with clients and stakeholders.

With a strong background in civil or structural engineering, you will have a proven track record of cost estimation and project management. Prior experience working with historic buildings is highly desirable.

Responsibilities
  • Lead an engineering cost center(s) for our London office.
  • Use the latest design software to create and manage structural designs.
  • Liaise with key clients and discuss design/technical solutions with team members and stakeholders.
  • Ensure projects are appropriately resourced, delegating work to team members, programming deliverables, and monitoring progress.
  • Provide support and guidance to junior staff, fostering their development and progression.
  • Prepare calculations, drawings, details, specifications, and reports for a wide range of structures and materials.
  • Implement company policies and ensure adherence across your team.
  • Monitor and oversee project budgets and staff resources for projects undertaken.
  • Develop existing customer relationships and promote JMS's services.
  • Assist in achieving targeted revenues from current and new customers.
Qualifications
  • Chartered Engineer status (CEng) would be advantageous.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent (Master's degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in structural engineering.
  • Proven track record of cost estimation and project management.
  • Prior experience working with historic buildings is highly desirable.
