Community Mental Health Nurse

About the RoleThe successful candidate will work across various Behaviour and Emotional Difficulties pathways, providing tailored interventions to support children and young people with mental health challenges, learning disabilities, and autism spectrum disorder. You will be responsible for managing challenging behaviours, enhancing positive behaviours, and promoting emotional resilience in young people.
- You will assess and manage risk factors, ensuring the safety of patients and staff.
- As part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will contribute to clinical supervision and safeguarding discussions.
This role requires the ability to work in an agile way, adapting to changing circumstances and priorities. You must be willing to engage in regular training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Required Skills and QualificationsWe are looking for a skilled Community Mental Health Nurse with:
- Relevant experience of working therapeutically with children and young people and their families.
- Experience of assessing and managing risk factors.
Possession of a Mentorship Qualification or relevant experience of working with student nurses is desirable. Additionally, holding clinical responsibility for managing a caseload would be an advantage.
