Job Description: Intellectual Property Management Professional

G2 Legal Limited, a leading intellectual property firm, is currently seeking an experienced Intellectual Property Management Professional to join its Cambridge office. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with a prestigious firm known for its excellence and innovation.

About the Role:
This role involves administering and managing the lifecycle of patents, including filings, renewals, and maintaining accurate records. The successful candidate will have at least five years of prior experience in patent administration and a comprehensive understanding of patent procedures and documentation. The salary for this position is estimated to be around £65,000 per annum.

Responsibilities:
  1. Administer and manage the lifecycle of patents, including filings, renewals, and maintaining accurate records
  2. Prepare and handle correspondence with clients, patent offices, and attorneys; Ensure all documentation complies with relevant legal and procedural requirements
  3. Monitor and manage patent-related deadlines, ensuring timely submissions and adherence to deadlines
  4. Provide exceptional support to clients, addressing inquiries, and offering guidance on patent-related matters
  5. Maintain and update the firm's patent database, ensuring all information is current and accurately reflected

Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in patent administration, with a solid understanding of patent processes and regulations
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in relevant patent management software and tools
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently
