Job Title: Intellectual Property Specialist
About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Intellectual Property Specialist to join our Cambridge office. The successful candidate will have at least five years of prior experience in patent administration and a comprehensive understanding of patent procedures and documentation.
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patent Management: Administer and manage the lifecycle of patents, including filings, renewals, and maintaining accurate records.
- Documentation & Correspondence: Prepare and handle correspondence with clients, patent offices, and attorneys; Ensure all documentation complies with relevant legal and procedural requirements.
- Docketing & Deadlines: Monitor and manage patent-related deadlines, ensuring timely submissions and adherence to deadlines.
- Client Support: Provide exceptional support to clients, addressing inquiries, and offering guidance on patent-related matters.
- Database Management: Maintain and update the firm's patent database, ensuring all information is current and accurately reflected.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in patent administration, with a solid understanding of patent processes and regulations.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in relevant patent management software and tools.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
