Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Practitioner Psychologist to join our Diabetes Psychiatry and Psychology Service (DPPS) at King's College Hospital. The successful candidate will provide specialist psychological screening, assessment, and treatment to patients with type 1 / complex type 2 diabetes and associated psychological difficulties.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments of patients with diabetes-related mental health issues.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address psychological difficulties.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care delivery.
Requirements:
  • Registered Practitioner Psychologist with the HCPC.
  • Evidence of experience working with people with medical conditions.
  • Specialist training in health psychology, behavior change, and cognitive behavioral therapy.
  • Experience in neuropsychological assessments and report writing.
  • Knowledge of specialized psychological assessments and interventions for individuals with complex medical conditions.
Working Conditions:

The position is a fixed-term contract for six months, with a part-time schedule of 18.75 hours per week.

Salary: £61,927 - £68,676 per annum pro rata, including HCA.
