Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Biacore Reagents Sales Specialist to play a pivotal role in advancing future therapeutics from discovery to delivery. As a key member of our commercial team, you will work closely with a Biacore Field Application Specialist to deliver high-value sales outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • You will spend 60% of your time working directly with customers in the field, primarily within the biotech, CDMO, pharma, and academic segments. Your primary focus will be on selling Cytiva's esteemed Biacore range of surface plasmon resonance (SPR) systems for molecular interaction analysis and associated consumables.
  • Through regular face-to-face meetings, you will establish strong business relationships with customers, understand their goals, and formulate account strategies to drive long-term partnerships.
  • Your daily activities will involve planning sales visits, generating new leads, running product demonstrations, training workshops, seminars, exhibitions, and promotional events in conjunction with the Biacore Applications support team.
  • You will develop sales opportunities to create a robust sales funnel, meeting business targets. You will manage leads and prospects using Salesforce Lightning CRM software, analyze sales data to inform decision-making and territory planning, and participate in business reviews to ensure seamless communication within the sales team and management.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • You have extensive experience managing a field sales territory, regularly interacting with customers in the field, including expertise in funnel management, prospecting, and sales negotiation.
  • You hold a university-level degree in a Life Science-related discipline, with the ability to learn the fundamentals of Biacore technology.
  • Able to travel frequently due to the customer-facing nature of this role, which requires spending 60% of your time in the field.
  • You possess excellent communication skills, able to balance the needs of customers and Cytiva with a customer-centric mindset.
  • A self-starter who can effectively manage time, prioritize workload, and demonstrate tenacity in hunting for new business, managing sales prospects, and closing deals.
Salary Information

The estimated annual salary for this role is $120,000-$180,000 based on industry standards and location.
