Sustainable Sourcing Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sustainable Sourcing Specialist to join our team at McDonald's. As a key member of our Supply Chain function, you will play a critical role in driving our sustainability agenda and ensuring the long-term commercial success of our business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sustainable sourcing strategies to meet our 2025, 2030, and 2050 targets
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and prioritize opportunities for sustainable sourcing
  • Work with external consultants to design and deliver energy roadmaps and procure energy in line with our risk management strategy
  • Manage our renewable energy strategy, including power purchase agreements, REGO purchasing, and on-site generation opportunities
  • Drive supplier performance through governance and contract management
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key internal and external partners, including suppliers, franchisees, and corporate stakeholders
  • Provide ongoing coaching and support for supplier development and continuous improvement

Requirements

  • Proven experience in sustainable sourcing and procurement, preferably in the FMCG or retail industry
  • Knowledge of procurement principles and practices
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to drive business outcomes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage with stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and drive cross-functional initiatives
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively
  • Ability to stay current with industry trends and best practices
