Job Title: Strategic Medical Society Engagement Director

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Strategic Medical Society Engagement Director to lead our medical society engagement strategy and execution. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive strategy to engage with key international medical societies, fostering mutually beneficial partnerships that drive business growth and improve patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a strategic plan to engage with key international medical societies, aligning with our business objectives and priorities.
  • Build and lead partnerships with key international medical societies, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and improve patient outcomes.
  • Lead the development and implementation of congress impact plans, assessing performance indicators and optimizing resource planning.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and industry requirements for medical society partnerships and congresses.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement medical education programs, external medical education programs, and other initiatives that support our business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the mission, vision, and goals of key international medical societies, and use this knowledge to develop individual engagement plans that foster mutually beneficial partnerships.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration to drive innovation for medical society partnerships and congresses, and develop and implement strategies to optimize resource planning and improve business outcomes.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years' experience in the pharmaceutical industry or healthcare-related field, ideally in medical affairs and/or medical information.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and proven ability to work in a complex matrix organization across functions, therapeutic areas, regions, and countries.
  • Proven experience in Medical Affairs or External Affairs with demonstrated ability to build external partnerships.
  • Understanding of the role of medical societies and deep understanding of industry-sponsored activities, including external medical education programs.
  • Thorough understanding of internal/external ethical guidelines relevant to the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strategic mindset including innovation and critical thinking with performance-oriented drive.
