We are currently recruiting for a Senior Building Control Director to join our esteemed client, a Local Government organization based in London.

This hybrid role offers an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional to take on a challenging leadership position and make a significant impact on the organization's building control operations.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working in building control at a senior level, with a proven track record of managing teams and developing staff.

A Class 3/4 building inspector certification is essential for this role.

Job Description
  • Manage a team of 15 building surveyors, ensuring that programs and projects are effectively managed and delivered on time.
  • Provide expert advice on building control-related matters, as well as providing direction to other council departments regarding complex building methods and legislation.
  • Oversee the provision of initial surveys, certification, emergency action regarding dangerous structures, and provide the appropriate guidance.
  • Work with senior stakeholders within the Planning & Transport Division, assisting with the formulation of policy and strategic planning for construction-related services.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary package, estimated to be around £90,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience.

This role requires 2-3 days of on-site work in London.
