We are seeking an experienced ecologist or senior ecologist to join our team at FPCR Environment and Design Ltd. As a key member of our ecology team, you will play a pivotal role in leading and delivering high-quality ecological assessments, surveys, and mitigation strategies.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and deliver ecological projects, collaborating with our talented team of ecologists, landscape architects, and environmental planners.
- Manage and deliver ecological projects, meeting deadlines and working on medium to large-scale and complex sites.
- Conduct surveys, assessments, and prepare ecological reports, with a strong focus on project management of smaller jobs.
- Advise clients on biodiversity net gain, understanding and use of the DEFRA Statutory Biodiversity Metric, and production of associated reports and plans.
- Collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including clients, colleagues, and external partners.
- Degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Proven track record in managing and delivering ecological projects, with a strong focus on project management and collaboration.
- Sound knowledge of UK ecology legislation, guidelines, and best practice.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Membership or eligibility for membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. CIEEM).
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- Competitive salary, dependent on experience and grade.
