Ecologist to Senior Ecologist Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced ecologist or senior ecologist to join our team at FPCR Environment and Design Limited. As a key member of our ecology team, you will play a pivotal role in leading and delivering high-quality ecological assessments, surveys, and mitigation strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and deliver ecological projects, collaborating with our talented team of ecologists, landscape architects, and environmental planners.
  • Conduct surveys, assessments, and prepare ecological reports, with a strong focus on project management.
  • Advise clients on Biodiversity Net Gain, understanding and use of the DEFRA Statutory Biodiversity Metric, and production of associated reports and plans.
  • Develop and maintain sound knowledge of UK ecology legislation, guidelines, and best practice.
  • Collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including clients, colleagues, and external partners.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • For the Senior Ecologist role, a proven track record in managing and delivering ecological projects and meeting deadlines.
  • For the Ecologist role, at least 1 year's experience in ecological consultancy, with a strong focus on conducting surveys, assessments, and project management.
  • Sound knowledge of UK ecology legislation, guidelines, and best practice.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
