Job Title: Property Development Manager

We are seeking an experienced Property Development Manager to join our team at Outcomes First Group. As a key member of our property development team, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of new education settings from inception to opening.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the identification of potential sites and conduct comprehensive feasibility assessments to determine viability.
  • Collaborate with the Property and M&A Director to prepare detailed and robust business cases, ensuring alignment with OFG's strategic growth plan.
  • Manage the acquisition process for both freehold and leasehold properties, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
  • Oversee all aspects of project execution, with a focus on time, cost, and quality to ensure best value for the organisation.
  • Select and appoint an appropriate professional team and manage the procurement and appointment of contractors to ensure successful delivery.
  • Provide timely and accurate updates on project status, programme, and budget.
  • Lead the smooth handover of completed projects to Regional Property Managers and Operations Teams, ensuring the transfer of all statutory certifications, operating manuals, and completion of site inductions.

Requirements:

  • Expertise in managing all phases of development projects, from site identification to handover, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
  • Ability to manage and lead change effectively, particularly in the transition from construction project to operational business.
  • Strong skills in financial management, including budgeting, cost estimation, and ensuring cost-efficiency throughout project execution.
  • Knowledge and experience in property acquisition, including negotiating and completing freehold and leasehold transactions.
  • Proficiency in managing contracts with contractors, vendors, and professional service providers to ensure project goals are met and legal compliance is maintained.
  • A working understanding of the Building Regulations, the Planning system, and statutory requirements affecting property development.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety Regulations related to construction and property management, ensuring that all projects are delivered safely.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Ability to provide concise, accurate, and timely progress reports, including analysis of budgets, timelines, and project milestones.
