Deputy Payroll Management Position

Exertis (UK) Ltd. seeks a dedicated Deputy Payroll Manager to lead payroll operations, ensuring timely and accurate payment processing for over 1300 employees.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and process monthly and weekly payrolls, meeting tight deadlines and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain and update payroll records, accurately collecting and entering employee data, including sensitive information.
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and address employee inquiries, delivering exceptional customer service and support.
- Prepare BACS and third-party payments, streamlining financial transactions.
- Manage payment of road toll fines and recharge costs, promoting efficient financial management and minimizing risks.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies, verifying accurate payments and calculation of maternity leave, pensions, and national insurance, maintaining the company's reputation for integrity.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, human resources, or a related field, demonstrating strong academic credentials and relevant knowledge.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in payroll processing or administration, showcasing expertise in payroll software and systems.
- Familiarity with payroll regulations and compliance requirements, staying up-to-date with industry developments and changes.
- Knowledge of pension administration and employee benefits, supporting employee well-being and job satisfaction.
- Experience of payroll processing software, such as iTrent, streamlining payroll processes and reducing errors.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis techniques, enhancing data-driven decision-making and business insights.
- Understanding of payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements, maintaining adherence to industry standards and best practices.
The salary for this role is estimated to be between £40,000 and £60,000 per annum, reflecting the company's commitment to fair compensation and market rates.
