Exertis (UK) Ltd. seeks a dedicated Deputy Payroll Manager to lead payroll operations, ensuring timely and accurate payment processing for over 1300 employees.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Prepare and process monthly and weekly payrolls, meeting tight deadlines and regulatory requirements.
  2. Maintain and update payroll records, accurately collecting and entering employee data, including sensitive information.
  3. Resolve payroll discrepancies and address employee inquiries, delivering exceptional customer service and support.
  4. Prepare BACS and third-party payments, streamlining financial transactions.
  5. Manage payment of road toll fines and recharge costs, promoting efficient financial management and minimizing risks.
  6. Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies, verifying accurate payments and calculation of maternity leave, pensions, and national insurance, maintaining the company's reputation for integrity.
Qualifications and Experience
  1. Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, human resources, or a related field, demonstrating strong academic credentials and relevant knowledge.
  2. Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in payroll processing or administration, showcasing expertise in payroll software and systems.
  3. Familiarity with payroll regulations and compliance requirements, staying up-to-date with industry developments and changes.
  4. Knowledge of pension administration and employee benefits, supporting employee well-being and job satisfaction.
Technical Requirements
  1. Experience of payroll processing software, such as iTrent, streamlining payroll processes and reducing errors.
  2. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis techniques, enhancing data-driven decision-making and business insights.
  3. Understanding of payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements, maintaining adherence to industry standards and best practices.

The salary for this role is estimated to be between £40,000 and £60,000 per annum, reflecting the company's commitment to fair compensation and market rates.
