Job Role: Autism Support Worker

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Autism Support Worker to join our team at a SEN school in the Preston area. As an Autism Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with Autism and other Special Educational Needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils throughout the school day, providing individualized care and attention.
  • Work closely with the teaching staff to develop and implement personalized learning plans.
  • Use sensory integration techniques to promote learning and engagement.
  • Support pupils with speech, language, and communication difficulties.
  • De-escalate challenging situations and promote a positive learning environment.

Requirements:

We are looking for a positive and empathetic individual who is passionate about supporting pupils with Autism and other Special Educational Needs. You will have a strong understanding of the needs of pupils with Autism and be able to provide individualized support.
