Job Title: Children’s Social Worker - Contract

Location: Richmond on Thames

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Children’s Social Worker to join our team in Richmond on Thames. As a key member of our social work team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children and young people.

Salary: £25-£35 per hour (dependent on experience)

Job Description

The ideal candidate will possess a Social Work Degree or equivalent, be registered with Social Work England, have a current DBS, and be a car driver. With a minimum of 2 years+ UK Social Worker experience within a Children's Social Work team, you will be able to undertake child and family assessments, carry out child protection enquiries, and provide direct work with children and young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Referral & Assessment Team
  • Undertaking child and family assessments
  • Carrying out child protection enquiries
  • Duty Tasks
  • Direct work with children and young people
  • Chairing Child in Need and Core Group Meetings
  • Mental Health and Emotional wellbeing support for all workers including interim
  • Hybrid working
  • 37 hours per week (flexible by negotiation)
