Main Duties of the Job:

The advanced assessment and treatment of patients within the offender healthcare setting who may have complex and/or chronic presentation is a key aspect of this role.

The successful candidate will need to determine clinical diagnosis and clinical treatment, and maintain records as an autonomous practitioner.

With post-registration experience assessing and treating a range of conditions, including diabetic patients, wound management, MSK pathologies, and nail surgery, the successful candidate will be well-equipped to meet the needs of this challenging yet rewarding role.

Person Specification:

The successful candidate will be employed by Practice Plus Group, a specialist provider of NHS services into prison healthcare across over 45 different prisons, young offenders, and immigration removal centres.

The prison population is one of the most vulnerable and challenged patient groups in society, and the delivery of their healthcare is conducted within often difficult and demanding environments.

We are seeking an individual who is able to deliver non-judgmental care, building therapeutic relationships and promoting professional boundaries. The successful candidate will need to play an active part in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care, following our policies and procedures.

We promote best practice, evidence-based care, and continuous quality improvement, embedding a culture of reflection and shared learning.
