Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Transport Supervisor to join our team at Whistl. As a Transport Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our transportation fleet, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation Management:
    • Manage and coordinate the daily activities of our transportation team, ensuring that all deliveries are made on time and in accordance with our quality standards.
    • Monitor and analyze transportation data to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to optimize our operations.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with our transportation partners and suppliers to ensure seamless delivery of goods.
  • Driver Management:
    • Recruit, train, and manage a team of drivers to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
    • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to drivers to improve their performance.
    • Ensure that all drivers comply with our company's policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.
  • Logistics and Operations:
    • Develop and implement logistics and operations strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our transportation operations.
    • Manage and coordinate the movement of goods from our warehouses to our customers, ensuring that all deliveries are made on time and in accordance with our quality standards.
    • Monitor and analyze logistics and operations data to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to optimize our operations.
  • Customer Service:
    • Provide excellent customer service to our customers, ensuring that their needs are met and exceeded.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with our customers to ensure that they are satisfied with our services.
    • Respond to customer complaints and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Health and Safety:
    • Ensure that all drivers and transportation staff comply with our company's health and safety policies and procedures.
    • Conduct regular health and safety audits to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to optimize our operations.
    • Develop and implement health and safety training programs for drivers and transportation staff.
    Requirements
    • Education: Bachelor's degree in Transportation, Logistics, or a related field.
    • Experience: 3+ years of experience in transportation management, logistics, or a related field.
    • Skills:
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
      • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
      • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
      • Knowledge of transportation regulations and laws.
      • Ability to develop and implement logistics and operations strategies.
    • Certifications: CDL or equivalent.
