Forensic Mental Health Nurse

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Forensic Mental Health Nurse to join our team at Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will work within our Forensic Intensive Recovery Support Team (FIRST), providing support and care to individuals with complex mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and manage complex caseloads, including specialist assessment, care planning, and evaluation of individual treatment plans.
- Participate in the setting of quality standards, including auditing, monitoring, and reviewing of practice in line with current clinical guidance and policy.
- Administer, handle, and manage medication, complying with relevant Trust procedures and NMC Guidance.
- Monitor and ensure all aspects of compliance with Clozapine treatment for specific service users in the community.
- Registered mental health Nurse on NMC Register.
- Post-registration experience, evidence of formal courses and training at diploma/degree level.
- Registered Mentor
- Evidence of extensive post registration experience with working with adults experiencing mental health related difficulties
- Experience of working with people who have difficulty in engaging with services
- Psychological intervention Qualification including EMDR, CBT, CBTp, Family Interventions, CAT, DBT
- Experience of working in Forensic or Secure environments and Experience of working in community setting and making decisions autonomously.
