Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior External Auditor to lead multiple audit teams and make complex audit judgements over a varied audit portfolio.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the important issues and risks facing our clients and will establish effective relationships with stakeholders across their portfolio.

About the Role

This is a challenging opportunity for a senior auditor to take on a leadership role and contribute to the strategic planning and execution of our work.

">

You will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality reports and presentations to the highest client and stakeholder level, including the Scottish Parliament and local audit committees.

Key Responsibilities

">

Deliver complex audit judgements and lead multiple audit teams to achieve high-quality results.

">

Develop a strong understanding of the external environment to identify potential risks and opportunities.

">

Establish effective relationships with stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.

">

Requirements

">

You will be a fully qualified accountant (CIPFA, ICAS, or equivalent) with significant experience in managing high-quality external audits.

">

Prior experience in a public sector environment is preferred, but not essential.
