We are seeking an experienced Financial Audit Expert to join our team at Audit Scotland. As a leader in public sector assurance, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that public services are run effectively and efficiently.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in external auditing and be comfortable working with complex financial data. You will be responsible for leading multiple audit teams to deliver high-quality reports and presenting findings to stakeholders at the highest level.

You will have excellent communication skills and be able to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues alike. Your ability to think critically and strategically will enable you to identify key risks and develop appropriate audit activity.

A successful candidate will have a fully qualified accounting qualification (CIPFA, ICAS or equivalent) and significant experience of managing high-quality external audits in a public sector environment.
