About the Role

As a senior audit manager at BDO UK, you will be responsible for leading and directing all aspects of audits for major businesses, including listed firms with international interests. Your expertise in UK and International GAAS, IFRS, UK GAAP, and Financial Reporting requirements will ensure that our clients receive high-quality and transparent audits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as audit lead and oversee the execution of large-scale assignments.
  • Be responsible for managing and developing staff, coordinating projects, mentoring, counselling, appraising, recruiting, and ensuring the development of an industry network.
  • Develop specialist knowledge of sectors and technical areas, engage with key stakeholders, and contribute to the development of new business relationships and proposals.
  • Liaise with central departments on risk management, technical matters, and participate in wider practice management at local level.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • ACA/ICAS qualification or overseas equivalent.
  • Significant experience in delivering audit and assurance services to major businesses.
  • Excellent working knowledge of UK and International GAAS, IFRS, UK GAAP, and Financial Reporting requirements.
  • Proven business development experience, able to identify and convert opportunities to sell work.
  • Able to demonstrate the development of an industry network.
