Job Title: Anti-Tax Evasion and Anti-Bribery & Corruption Lead

This is a unique opportunity to become the bank's leading technical specialist in anti-bribery and corruption (ABC) and anti-tax evasion (ATE). As part of this role, you will lead a team of technical specialists to deliver policy and provide SME guidance to our business, supporting the effective control of ABC and ATE risks.

With excellent exposure, this position offers a chance to maintain relationships with peer banks and other organisations, sharing best practice and influencing the ABC and ATE technical agenda.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Policy Development: Define, develop, and maintain the ABC and ATE policy, as well as related guidance, informing appetite in line with ABC and ATE legislation and regulation.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide ABC and ATE technical expertise to respond to regulatory change and upstream risks, representing the bank externally on regulatory and upstream matters.
  • Risk Management: Act as the escalation point of contact for complex policy, customer, and regulatory matters, approving relevant risks in relation to ABC and ATE.
  • Policy Updates: Be responsible for annual and ongoing ABC and ATE policy updates.
  • Upstream Risk Analysis: Anticipate, analyse, and influence material ABC and ATE upstream risks, producing expert insight to the bank's response.
Requirements:
  • Technical Knowledge: Demonstrate ABC and ATE in-depth knowledge and technical skills, applying them in the financial sector.
  • Financial Services Understanding: Have a comprehensive understanding of financial services and the impact of ABC and ATE regulation and legislation.
  • Strategic Deployment: Possess a strong understanding of deploying pan-risk strategies across the customer life cycle.
  • External Influence: Be able to build external networks and influence the policy position.

Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year

The ideal candidate will have experience in developing and maintaining policies related to anti-bribery and corruption and anti-tax evasion. They will be able to demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the financial sector and the impact of regulations and legislation on businesses. The selected individual will be responsible for leading a team of technical specialists, delivering policy, and providing SME guidance to the business. This role requires strong technical expertise, risk management skills, and the ability to build external networks and influence policy positions.

A high level of education and relevant experience are required for this position. The selected individual must be able to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial services, including the impact of regulations and legislation on businesses.
