Head of HR and Compliance Manager

Reed HR is seeking a Head of HR and Compliance Manager to oversee the effective management of the company's HR policies, health & safety, quality management, environmental management, and company social responsibility & ethics.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations, leading training and development, and managing various accreditation processes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing, implementing, and reviewing HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with employment legislation.
- Leading recruitment strategies, employee appraisals, and the reward and remuneration process.
- Managing disciplinary, dismissal, redundancy, and employee exit processes.
- Overseeing employee welfare, relations, and possible TUPE requirements.
- Producing and reviewing health & safety policies to ensure compliance with regulations and conducting investigations into non-compliance and accidents.
- Leading safety training, managing outsourced training requirements, and advising on health & safety regulatory developments.
- Developing and managing the company's quality management systems, including leading internal quality audits.
- Ensuring environmental compliance, developing management systems, and leading initiatives to reduce the company's environmental impact.
- Managing company social responsibility and ethics, ensuring compliance with regulations such as the Modern Slavery Act and maintaining SEDEX membership.
- Overseeing GDPR compliance and managing related processes.
Required skills and qualifications include:
- Proven experience in HR and compliance management.
- Knowledge of employment legislation, health & safety regulations, and quality and environmental management systems.
- Experience with ISO9001 and ISO14001 accreditation processes (or similar).
- Familiarity with GDPR and other relevant compliance regulations.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously.
