About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, working closely with a multi-disciplinary team, and contributing to the assessment, development, implementation, and evaluation of programmes of care.

This is a key role within our perioperative department, requiring strong leadership skills, effective communication, and a commitment to ongoing professional development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work as a skilled perioperative team member, responsible for assessing care given to patients in the operating theatre and other areas where an anaesthetic service is required.
  • Supervise junior and unqualified colleagues in patient assessments, providing specialist knowledge and advice.
  • Take responsibility for personal and professional development, attending mandatory training sessions, and adhering to policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • ODP or Registered Nurse with a recognised postgraduate anaesthetic qualification.
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development.
  • Effective communication skills, verbal and written, including report writing and record keeping.
  • Sound knowledge of NMC / HCPC code of professional conduct and current perioperative issues.
  • Experience working as an Anaesthetic Practitioner within an acute perioperative environment.
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is £62,000 per annum, plus additional benefits, including online interviews, full-time or part-time hours, engagement from the Perioperative Education Team, clinical support, ongoing education and training, and wellbeing support.
