Job Overview:

Job Description:
This is a leadership role that requires the ability to lead and manage a team of staff in the operating theatre. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively under pressure. They will also have a strong understanding of theatre operations and be able to develop and implement education and training programs to improve staff skills and knowledge.

Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and supporting the multidisciplinary team within theatre, promoting high quality efficient perioperative patient care, covering surgical specialties/anaesthetics and having in charge responsibilities and coordinating within the department. They will also be required to develop and implement education and training programs, contribute to the development of theatre policies and procedures, and maintain accurate records and reports as required.

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in theatre practice, including at least two years of experience in surgical scrub and/or anaesthetics. You will also need to have leadership and management experience, as well as proven commitment to teaching and research based practice. In addition, you will need to have fluent English language skills, appropriate post registration experience in Theatre practice, and competency in medication administration. You will also need to be able to lead a team, have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and be willing to work towards Masters level academic study.
