About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse to join our Wound Care Service team as a Wound Care Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to make a real difference in the lives of our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide assessment, treatment planning, and advice for patients referred to the Wound Care Service, with the support and guidance of specialist nurses.
  • Work in a variety of community settings, including patients' homes, clinics, GP practices, nursing and residential homes, to deliver excellent wound care across our population.
  • Conduct assessments, including lower limb and vascular assessments, pressure injury and pressure mapping assessments, negative pressure wound therapy, and general wound assessments.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse with experience in community nursing and wound care.
  • Sound knowledge and skills in lower limb wound management, wound care, and pressure injury prevention.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to develop skills and knowledge in areas such as vascular assessment, Healthy IO app, and teaching and assessing in clinical practice.
