About the Role:


We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Forensic Clinical Lead to join our team at Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust.



Job Summary:


The postholder will be responsible for providing senior clinical leadership to the South East London Integrated Community Pathway Service (ICPS), a multidisciplinary, cross-agency team working with individuals who experience personality difficulties and pose a high risk of harm to others.



Main Responsibilities:



  • To provide specialist psychological assessments of service users with mental health difficulties, personality difficulties, and high harm offending histories referred to the service based on appropriate use, interpretation, and integration of complex data from various sources.
  • To formulate and implement plans for the formal psychological treatment and/or management of service users' clinical problems and risk, employing methods based on evidence of efficacy across the full range of care settings.
  • To contribute to the development and maintenance of the highest professional standards of practice through active participation in internal and external CPD training and development programmes.
  • To provide clinical supervision and professional management for qualified clinical/forensic/counselling psychologists and other psychological therapists.
  • To help lead the development of the OPD community Pathway services across London, involving clinical staff and representatives from other agencies as appropriate.


Leadership and Management:


The postholder will provide clinical leadership within the ICPS, ensuring the effective working of the team and a psychologically informed framework for the team and wider service.


They will receive regular clinical professional supervision from the Clinical Lead and develop skills in professional post-graduate teaching, training, and supervision.


They will also work with finance colleagues to ensure value for money and financial/budgetary activities are actioned and implemented in a timely manner.



Communication and Interpersonal Skills:


The postholder will maintain the highest standards of clinical record keeping, including electronic data entry and recording, report writing, and responsible exercise of professional self-governance in accordance with professional codes of practice.


They will communicate effectively, orally and in writing, and provide consultation to other professional and non-professional groups.



Salary:


£70,000 - £90,000 per annum, depending on experience.
