Job Description

Total compensation package up to £72,000, inclusive of pensions.

This is a hands-on management and coordination role encompassing all aspects of multi-site practice across a region of 5 sites. The position involves motivating and managing staff, optimizing efficiency and financial performance while ensuring the practice achieves its long-term strategic objectives in a safe and effective working environment.

Main Responsibilities
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of regional practices, ensuring staff meet their primary responsibilities – including planners, rotas, patient access, sickness/absence backup plans, oversight of clinical systems – workflow, tasks, meds, bloods etc.
  • Operational management of all clinical and administrative staff.
  • Direct line management of operational staff across the region.
  • Manage the recruitment, retention, and development of staff.
  • Develop, implement, and embed an effective staff appraisal process.
  • Maintain an effective overview of HR legislation with outsourced HR advice service.
  • Manage the financial elements of the practice, including petty cash, seeking to maximize income and reduce expenditure.
  • Maintain effective liaison with accountant and prepare monthly payroll.
  • Coordinate and lead compilation of practice reports and practice development plan (PDP).
  • Support delivery of QOF targets.
  • Manage procurement of practice equipment, supplies, and services.
  • Adequately address patient services matters from a strategic perspective.
  • Develop, implement, and embed effective communication strategy (internal and external).
  • E nsure practice maintains compliance with NHS contractual obligations – also enhanced service obligations.
  • Support management of Patient Participation Group.
  • Support management of all complaints.
  • Manage premises, including health and safety aspects such as risk assessments and mandatory training.
  • Ensure all staff have appropriate level of training to perform individual roles effectively.

The Regional Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing various tasks, potentially including:

  • Claiming for our services, liaising with PCN to claim for enhanced services, setting up, monitoring, and delivering enhanced services.
  • Louise, our Clinical Manager, will handle nurses, immunization, QOF, monthly payroll, and assist with searches and clinical indicators.

Required Skills and Qualifications: To succeed in this role, you will need strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Experience in healthcare management or a related field is essential.
