As an SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences that cater to the diverse needs of our students. Your calm and engaging approach will help create a conducive learning environment that fosters academic growth and personal development.

About the role:

  • To secure high-quality teaching, effective use of resources, and improve standards of learning and achievement for all pupils in consultation with the Headteacher/Senior Lead for curriculum and learning.
  • To teach a range of skills and techniques as necessary to ensure the effective delivery of the school's curriculum.
  • Support the development of the provision that has a whole-school impact.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Implementing strategies that relate to the education and personal development of SEN pupils, including effective behaviour management techniques and opportunities to praise and reward.
  • Implementing a school's vision, aims, priorities, targets, curriculum policies, and action plans in relation to classroom practice.
  • Statutory curriculum requirements and the requirements for assessment, recording, and reporting of pupils' attainment and progress.
  • The characteristics of high-quality teaching and learning, as well as strategies to improve and sustain high standards of teaching and learning leading to achievement for all pupils.
  • The implications of the code of practice of special educational needs for teaching and learning.

Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum (FTE). The location of this role is Ashley Park School, Surrey, making it easily accessible via various transport routes.
