Special Needs Teaching Associate

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in Felixstowe. The successful candidate will support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) across three specialist units, working collaboratively with our experienced team to foster a nurturing, inclusive environment.
Responsibilities:
- Support students with SEN across three specialist units
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to develop individualized learning plans
- Provide one-to-one support to students with complex needs
- Contribute to the creation and implementation of Behaviour Management Plans (BMPs)
- Attend regular meetings and updates with teachers and other professionals
Requirements:
- Proven experience working with children with SEN (Special Educational Needs)
- Ability to work flexibly across different units and adapt to changing circumstances
- Calm, patient, and caring approach to support students with diverse needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
